Susan G. Komen Houston Impact Awards Luncheon

Susan G. Komen Houston’s Annual Impact Awards Luncheon at the Royal Sonesta Hotel was a great success, with Joan Rivers keeping the audience of about 400 laughing. Honorees included companies and individuals who are truly making a difference in the lives of men and women across Houston, including Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation, Amegy Bank, Nabors, Kroger Food stores, National Oilwell Varco and many more.

This year, Komen Houston was able to provide $1.9 million in grants to local organizations and service providers to help put an end to breast cancer forever. Breast cancer cases are not limited to race season, and events like the luncheon help bring awareness and encourage vital fundraising year-round.
