The Junior League of Houston, Inc. has announced thatMarian Hearne Hilperthas been named President for 2013 – 2014. Hilpert has been a member of the Junior League of Houston for nine years. Hilpert and her husband, Tim, have two children, Luke age 7 and Lily Ana age 5. She has been a very active and dedicated member of the Junior League of Houston. “I truly believe in all the wonderful work the Junior League does in Houston, and I’m honored to be a part of this great organization. This year the League will contribute approximately $2 million in volunteer time and direct financial support to 38 community projects, community assistance grants, emergency and resource contingency grants, community collaborations and Done In A Day activities,” Hilpert said. Please see attached for a list of this year’s 38 community projects.

Other officers named for the 2013 – 2014 term are: President-Elect –Elizabeth Graves Love, Community Vice President –Stephanie Lowrey Magers, Development Vice President –Rachel Podsednik Regan, Financial Vice President –Angela Dawn Greak; Membership Vice President –Sarah Heck Snyder, and Recording Secretary –Shannon Beirne Wiesedeppe.

The Junior League of Houston, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
