ICCC supporters gathered for a special party to kick off the Roman Holiday Fashion Show & Luncheon, which is set to take place March 12, 2020! Roman Holiday Chairs Roz Pactor and Terrie Hogan Turner, along with special guest Steve Tyrell, welcomed nearly 200 guests to the celebration, which was held at the beautiful home of Tina and Dan Silvestri.
The Silvestri’s modern and stylishly decorated home proved a perfect setting for the fête. As guests entered the house, they were greeted by a large cutout of the Colosseum and two electric scooters, which will serve as auction items at the fashion show. Guests mixed and mingled in the gorgeous home while sipping Italian wines such as Beviamo International, Vinology, Tutti Lili and Philip Cusimano.
The evening not only kicked-off festivities for the upcoming Roman Holiday themed fashion show, it was also an opportunity for party goers to make donations in support of the upcoming event.
Throughout the home were various Italian-themed food from various Italian restaurants in Houston. Guests enjoyed everything from gourmet pasta and savory cannolis to dedicant chocolates and Italian candies. Stations included Ciro’s, Fresco Café Italiano, Roma, Palazzo’s, B.B. Italia, Baratti & Milano and Masseria Maccarone.
About halfway through the evening Grammy Award-winning vocalist Steve Tyrell took the mic and performed some of his most beloved songs including “The Way You Look Tonight” from Father of the Bride and “Give Me the Simple Life” from Father of the Bride Part II.
Following the special performance, guests continued sipping wine and celebrating!
The Roman Holiday Fashion Show & Luncheon will take place on Thursday, March 12 at the Junior League of Houston. The event will include a prosecco lunch, Italian designers on the runway, raffles for various gift baskets and more. Proceeds from the fashion show will benefit the ICCC’s scholarship program which has granted over $200,000 in scholarships to college students.
