Ketelsen Elementary Bicycle Programby KCEFDecember 12, 20200Shares00The Kym Coleman Education Foundation (KCEF) is proud to announce our annual delivery of 130 bicycles to Honor Roll students at HISD’s Ketelsen Elementary at 300 Quitman St., Houston, TX 77009.With the recent news of students struggling to make passing grades due to Covid both locally & nationally, we were beyond excited to learn that 130 students 2nd to 5th graders qualified for honor roll at Ketelsen. We will be following all CDC social-distancing guidelines to personally deliver 130 bicycles to the school’s cafeteria KCEF on Wednesday, December 16th. Max Movers will be delivering the bikes to the school at 10:30am and the program will begin at 1:00pm.Despite having begun school virtually, the Ketelsen students that will be receiving bicycles are students who are currently learning either all-virtual or in-person, and made Honor Roll this most recent grading period. We are so proud of their hard work and cannot wait to reward their academic achievement with brand new bicycles for the holidays and beyond. KCEF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports various incentive programs in under-privileged elementary schools. In addition to the Honor Roll Bicycle Program at Ketelsen, Spring Shadows & Blackshear Elementary, KCEF supports education via art contests, book drives & a scholarship to graduating high school students via the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo scholarship fund.
