Kelsey-Seybold Opens New Cornerstone Clinic in Historic River Oaks Shopping Center
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic today opened a 12,500-square-foot clinic in the historic River Oaks Shopping Center, offering comprehensive care for adults of all ages. The opening comes on the heels of three other clinic openings earlier this year at Memorial City, Lake Jackson, and North Channel, with more scheduled to open over the next several months.
“Kelsey-Seybold Clinic has always prioritized the quality of care our patients receive when they walk through our doors – and it’s this commitment to patient care that is the driving force behind our planned growth in the coming year and for our newest location here in River Oaks,” said Cecilia Lowder, M.D., managing physician at River Oaks clinic. “We are all so thrilled to be welcoming current and new patients to this beautiful new space and look forward to caring for them here for years to come.”
The new River Oaks clinic is located at 2040 West Gray St., Suites 120 and 200, at the corner of S. Shepherd Drive.
The new clinic expands access to coordinated, evidence-based care for patients in the River Oaks, Montrose, and Lower Heights communities who value quality and convenience. The new clinic has space for up to seven physicians. Beginning today, patients will be able to make appointments with physicians in primary care and Orthopedics. Kelsey-Seybold plans to expand specialty care to include OB/GYN by the end of 2021.
Additionally, patients will have access to on-site diagnostic services, including laboratory, EKG, X-ray, and an extensive referral network of Kelsey-Seybold specialists at neighboring clinics: Downtown at The Shops; Berthelsen Main Campus, near the Texas Medical Center; Tanglewood Clinic, near the Galleria; and Woman’s Center near NRG Stadium.

The River Oaks Shopping Center is an open-air specialty shopping center with over 300,000-square-feet of retail space with a wide variety of local and national retailers, upscale restaurants, and entertainment.
The new River Oaks clinic was designed by Powers Brown Architecture. Wood ceiling accents, the texture of the flooring materials, and use of natural light provide a welcoming feeling.
Entryway doors are close to the adjacent parking garage and an internal elevator with touch-free controls enhance convenience. Gamma Construction was the general contractor for this project.
