Kelsey-Seybold Announces Expansion of Memorial City Clinic
A little over a year since opening in January 2021, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Memorial City is expanding from a 12,500-square-foot space to over 50,000 square feet. Memorial City Clinic currently occupies suite 1450 on the 14th floor in Memorial Hermann Tower at 929 Gessner Road. Once the expansion is complete, Memorial City Clinic will occupy both the 14th and 16th floors in their entirety. Renovation of the 16th floor is currently underway with plans to open by late summer.
The Memorial City Clinic expansion will allow for significant growth in specialty care, including an expansion of Cardiology services, as well as additional providers and services in OB/GYN, Pulmonary Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Bariatric Surgery, and Plastic Surgery/Cosmetics. Patients will also have access to ancillary services, including Cardiology stress tests, Nuclear Medicine, bariatric X-ray, procedure rooms, and echo/vascular ultrasound. Once complete, Memorial City Clinic will have room for up to 21 providers.
“Our Memorial City Clinic is the location that kicked off our expansive buildout in the West Central Houston area,” said Aaron Carlson, Senior Vice President of Operation, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. “Just 14 months after opening this location, we’ve announced three additional clinics to serve patients living and working in the West Central Houston area, including Memorial Villages, a large multispecialty center that will include a Kelsey-Seybold Ambulatory Surgery Center, as well as Westchase Clinic and Eldridge Clinic, which are community-based primary care clinics.”
Other nearby Kelsey-Seybold clinics, including Tanglewood Clinic and the recently opened River Oaks Clinic and Greater Heights Clinic, are also serving the medical needs of West Central Houston. By Spring 2023, patients in the Memorial, Spring Branch, Greater Heights, and North Loop areas will live within a 10-minute drive of a Kelsey-Seybold primary care location.
“The expansion of our Memorial City Clinic coincides with Kelsey-Seybold’s growth and development in this part of town. It’s an exciting time for me as a physician and for the patients we serve in West Central Houston,” said Jessica Stull, M.D., Managing Physician, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. “Quality, access, and convenience are things that patients look for when they need medical care. With the expansion of our clinic at Memorial City, and the additional clinics being built to serve the West Central Houston area, patients living and working nearby can rest assured that we are building up our presence in this area of town to give patients what they want.”
The Memorial City Clinic 16th floor expansion was designed by Kirksey Architecture, and the 14th floor expansion is being designed by PowersBrown Architects. Gamma Construction was named the general contractor for this project.
