Houston Golf Association and First Tee – Greater Houston Host 4th Annual Core Values Luncheon

Over 150 guests gathered at River Oaks Country Club to raise more than $200,000 for First Tee – Greater Houston youth. Annually, First Tee – Greater Houston provides opportunities for more than 350,000 local youth in the Greater Houston region who participate in elementary, after-school, and traditional golf programs. Founded in 2004, The First Tee of Greater Houston’s mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.  

The lunch was emceed by host and senior producer of Great Day Houston, Deborah Duncan. During the lunch, guests heard from alumni FTGH participant, Nikita Patel and watched a video featuring headliner honorees Pat & Mike Booker who were recognized for being Game Changers for the organization. Nikita and the Bookers embody the First Tee’s nine core values.

Investment Advisors); Kathy Walton (President at Pyramid Tubular Products, Inc.); Jessica & Robert Chisholm (Event Chairs); Tom Forestier (Partner at Winstead PC); Titus & Sylvia Harris; David Hedges; Dick Vermillion; Jim McBride (HGA Board Member); Jeff Miers (Amazon); Shae and Mark Jacobs (Houston Capital Corporation); Rob Hungate (Bluebell); Henry Noey (Willis Towers Watson); Irene Flores (Chevron); and Charles Stein (AT&T).
