The event, chaired by Doris and Terry Looper, raised a record-setting $791,025 to support MAM’s programs and activities.The luncheon honored long-time supporters of MAM, Bonnie and David Weekley, and celebrated the organization’s mission to create stable families, a dynamic workforce, and vibrant communities … together! A guiding force for MAM over the last 20 years, the Weekleys forged a solid foundation for MAM, helping it to become a catalyst for community change.“Every day, MAM helps our city’s most vulnerable residents to build the resources, skills, and relationships needed to achieve their goals and dreams,” said Sonja Gee, president, and CEO of MAM. “With support from donors like the Weekleys, we can provide opportunities for training and education, financial empowerment, and social inclusion – helping people pave critical steps to achieving stability in each aspect of their lives.”In 2021, MAM transformed the lives of over 13,000 families in the Houston area. The nonprofit looks forward to expanding its reach to impact even more Houstonians with a new location in the Heights, which will officially open its doors next month.
