Participating restaurants compete for your dollars and donate a percentage to feed the underprivileged. All this great dining is for a cause, and the Houston Food Bank is the beneficiary.Houston’s most anticipated foodie event is underway and ends September 2nd, 2024. That’s 35 days of delicious meals and super deals raising necessary funds for the Houston Food Bank. During the monthlong event, there seem to be more alternatives than recently. An extensive list of popular restaurants serves specially priced, multi-course prix fixe menus for brunch ($25), lunch ($25), or dinner ($39 or $55), available for dine-in and also take-out.Some of Intown’s picks include some oldies and some newbies. Our picks take into account the ambiance as well as the dishes.Houston Restaurant Weeks lunch menus may only be available Monday through Friday. Dates and times for HRW brunch service will vary by restaurant. We, however are recommending this on our dinner choices on our dinner picks for week two of Restaurant Weeks. Owner Charles Clark is the leader of the band, with backup from GM Erica Culp and Chef Michael Hoffman, who is offering a simple but elegant twist to their HRW dinner selection.It starts with its staple a FRENCH ONION SOUP with a caramelized onion, beef consommé, baguette, and melted gruyere. Other starter choices are DEVILED EGGS of course, with caviar, a SUMMER SALAD, and finally, HAM AND CHEESE CROQUETTES which we recommend along with the soup.The main course selections include a PETITE STRIP LOIN with roasted carrot, trout almondine, Housemade sausage, roasted pork belly braised lentils, and sauerkraut yum. Finally, there is a VEGETABLE GNOCCHI with artichoke, cipollini onion, and sage pistou.Round out the meal with an amazing NUTELLA BROWNIE with a whipped mascarpone and fresh berries.
