Real estate is open for business. We are not holding open houses during the Stay Home Stay Safe restrictive period, but we are still showing homes. If buyers or agents are concerned about catching COVID, they can wear gloves and masks while touring homes. I simply turn on all the lights, open up doors to all the rooms and keep my distance from the buyers or renters looking at the home. If Sellers are concerned about having people in their home, they can provide shoe covers and a trash can near the front door, then wipe down door handles and common touch points with a sterilizing cloth. I have managed to put 9 properties under contract since the restrictions began, have listed 3 more homes and continue to close sales with the title companies. No need to shut down our business, we just need to use good judgment and best practices.
